AHDB seeks new Chair as Nicholas Saphir prepares to step down
The Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB) is seeking to appoint a new Chair, with the incumbent Nicholas Saphir due to step down next March having held the position since 2020.
AHDB is a statutory levy board funded by farmers, growers and others in the supply chain, including some agri-supply businesses represented by the Agricultural Industries Confederation (AIC).
The levy board aims to support agricultural sectors in becoming more sustainable and competitive, providing market intelligence, conducting research and development, facilitating market access, and promoting knowledge transfer initiatives.
The Chair of AHDB plays a key role in steering the organisation and providing strategic direction. This role requires proven commercial, interpersonal, and strong leadership skills to guide the AHDB Board, support the executive team, and shape the organisation's strategic direction.
