The Agricultural Industries Confederation (AIC) has welcomed the introduction of Lord Fuller OBE to the House of Lords as a valuable voice for the agri-supply industry in Parliament.

Introduced on Tuesday (12 March) as a life peer, Lord Fuller OBE is Chair of Brineflow - an AIC Member business. He has been the Leader of South Norfolk Council since 2007 and received an OBE in the 2019 Queen's Birthday Honours List for Public and Political Service.

Robert Sheasby, AIC's Chief Executive, said: "On behalf of AIC, I congratulate Lord Fuller OBE on his introduction to the House of Lords.

"I know he will be a strong advocate for the agri-supply industry, wider UK agriculture and sustainable food production."

Speaking on the news of his life peerage, Lord Fuller OBE said: "I am delighted that my public and industry service over many years has been recognised.

"My continuing role with Brineflow and our relationships within the wider agricultural supply industry will allow me to speak up for important issues like food security and efficient agricultural production that treads more lightly on our environment."
