AIC Dinner & Conference 2024: Budget fallout and capturing “added value” set to frame debate
The fallout from the Government's Budget, the likely impacts on UK agriculture and food security, and how to capture "added value" within agri-food supply chains are set to frame discussions at this year's AIC Conference.
With one week to go until the agri-food industry's flagship forum on 13 November 2024, delegates will hear from an array of business, political, and academic heavyweights including the Minister for Food Security and Rural Affairs Daniel Zeichner MP and the National Farmers' Union (NFU) President Tom Bradshaw.
Other AIC Conference speakers include the author of The National Food Strategy Henry Dimbleby, the Welsh Government's Deputy First Minister Huw Irranca-Davies MS, Phil Bicknell, CEO of the UK Agri-Tech Centre, and Nonington Farms Director Emma Loder-Symonds, Professor Per Ola Kristensson of the University of Cambridge, Paul Cherry, co-founder of the Groundswell Festival.
AIC will unveil its new "Sustainability Action Plan" at this year's Conference - a comprehensive blueprint dedicated to delivering a resilient UK agriculture and food system, helping the major agri-supply sectors of Animal Feed, Combinable Crops, Crop Protection and Agronomy, Fertiliser, and Seed to continue to embed sustainability within their businesses.
Both the AIC Conference - and the Dinner hosted the evening prior - will be held at the Holiday Inn West in Peterborough.
The black-tie AIC Dinner on the evening of 12 November makes for the perfect networking opportunity for those with an interest in the UK agri-food industry.
The AIC Dinner & Conference is kindly supported by sponsors US Soybean Export Council (USSEC), Kiwa UK, Lantra, Eden Search, and Reels In Motion. The Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (RABI) is this year's charity partner.
