AIC's Hazel Doonan wins industry award for outstanding services to crop production
The Agricultural Industries Confederation's (AIC) Head of Crop Protection and Agronomy, Hazel Doonan, has won an award for outstanding services to the industry.
Yesterday (6 November), Hazel was presented with the British Crop Production Council (BCPC) award at a reception ahead of the Council's annual congress in Harrogate.
The Chief Executive Officer of the Association of Independent Crop Consultants (AICC), Sarah Cowlrick, also received the industry award.
On receiving the BCPC award for outstanding services to the crop production industry, Hazel said: "I was surprised and delighted to be given this award.
"I’d like to thank BCPC for the award and the recognition of what I do. I would also like to acknowledge the many people who have supported me through my career in agriculture.
"I look forward to continuing to deliver for the crop protection industry in what will be a very exciting and interesting future."
Hazel is responsible for the management and coordination of the Crop Protection and Agronomy Sector and has been with AIC for almost two decades.
Previous to her AIC role, she worked in the crop protection industry for 18 years as a BASIS-qualified agronomist and was also responsible for managing a regional agrochemical department with a national distributor.
