Commenting on his appointment, Mr Davies said: "I am honoured to take on the role of Chair at AIC Cymru and look forward to continuing our vital work on behalf of the Welsh agri-supply industry.

"I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Gareth Davies for his leadership and dedication. His instrumental role in establishing AIC Cymru has ensured Welsh agri-supply businesses have a stronger, united voice in an ever-evolving agricultural landscape.

"We are in a period of significant change in agricultural support in Wales, and this underlines precisely why our industry needs to make itself heard on critical issues.

"During my term as Chair, I wish to better engage the entire agri-supply sector and share the excellent ongoing work being done by this trade association."
