Border Force strikes in early February set to impact imports by air and sea

AIC Members and scheme Participants importing goods and materials are being warned to brace for disruption and delays as Border Force staff go ahead with industrial action on 1 and 2 February.

The Public and Commercial Services (PCS) union has announced Civil Service industrial action which will impact Border Force operations and risks causing disruption to supply chains.

The strike action will impact international arrivals at all UK air and maritime ports. Hauliers moving goods internationally are being told to expect disruption and longer queues at ports and inland border facilities.

The industrial action will take place on Wednesday, 1 February, and Thursday, 2 February up to 7am.
