Corrina Urquhart appointed BASIS interim CEO following Andrew Lazenby's resignation

Following the resignation of Andrew Lazenby as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of BASIS Registration Ltd, Corrina Urquhart has been announced as interim CEO from 4 November 2024.

Making the announcement, BASIS said that Corrina has many years of experience across the sectors served by the organisation, along with a strong policy background, and is experienced in corporate affairs.

Corrina has previously held roles at the Agricultural Industries Confederation (AIC) and the National Farmers Union (NFU), and most recently as an Executive Director at Lantra.

Commenting on her appointment, she said: "I am excited to join such an important organisation and look forward to working with the great team there, whilst reaching out to members across all the sectors served."

BASIS chair William Burgess said: "We are very fortunate to have secured the services of Corrina who we know will be a great asset as we continue to develop our activities.

"Andrew has made a significant contribution to the work of our organisation, and we wish him well in the future as he seeks new challenges and opportunities."

BASIS will seek to commence a process for appointing a permanent CEO in the New Year.
