Ahead of Countryside COP3 next month (20-24 November), organisers have revealed the programme of events.

Ahead of COP28 climate change conference held in the United Arab Emirates, Countryside COP brings together spokespeople from the agri-food industries, education, finance, and research to discuss the role of UK agriculture and the rural economy in combatting climate change and improving sustainability.

Hosted by the Agriculture and Land Use Alliance, this year's event themes include:

  • Health
  • Finance
  • Nature, land use, and oceans
  • Food and water systems
  • Energy transition
  • Science, technology, and innovation
  • Youth and international
  • Skills, education, and training

The event programme, which can be found on the Countryside COP 2023 website, is regularly updated with additional events, from in-person farm walks to virtual webinars.

Following the event, the Agriculture and Land Use Alliance will use the outcomes of each event to collate a set of recommendations for policymakers, research, the supply chain, investors and the wider rural economy.
