Government publishes revised list of retained EU laws to be repealed this year

The Government has revealed the list of retained EU laws that it intends to repeal this year, following a decision to abandon its plans to review all legislation by the end of 2023.
The list features almost 600 pieces of legislation being revoked and the reason for its removal from the statute book at the end of 2023.
Many of the laws have either expired, are duplications or have already been superseeded by other legislation since in EU Exit.
Last week (11 May) the Agricultural Industries Confederation (AIC) welcomed the Government's change of approach as it "avoids uncertainty and will be of great relief to UK agri-supply businesses."
For more information and to view the complete list of retianed EU legislation the Government plans to revoke, go to the GOV.UK website.
AIC will continue to work with the Government as it seeks to review all retained EU laws over a more appropriate timescale.
