HSE to host Maximum Residue Levels virtual workshop

An online workshop on Maximum Residue Levels (MRLs) of pesticides in food is being hosted by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) in May.

Presented by HSE experts, the virtual workshop will be held over two half-day sessions on 9 and 10 May with participants able to get their questions answered.

The workshop is suitable for technical and regulatory staff involved in the production of data and submission of MRL applications to the HSE. The online event will also provide relevant information for those with an interest in the trade of commodities treated with pesticides.

Topics covered are set to include:

  • MRL operational policy
  • GB MRL processes and procedures
  • MRLs in NI
  • Interactive MRL technical workshop sessions focussing on the application of the 2024 GB extrapolation guidance
  • Monitoring of pesticide residues in food in the UK
