AIC Member businesses are being encouraged to share important advice on the need for biosecurity during the ongoing Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) outbreak.

The UK is facing its largest ever outbreak of the disease, with a UK-wide Avian Influenza Prevention Zone (AIPZ) in force to minimise its spread.

The British Veterinary Poultry Association (BVPA) has shared advice, which is aimed at "backyard" poultry keepers, explaining how HPAI is spread, the symptoms, and measures required to prevent or minimise transmission.

AIC Members and scheme participants are encouraged to make this advice available to customers and employees.
