Members invited to share views on UK market access with Israel
AIC Members have the opportunity to share their views with government officials on UK trade and market access with Israel.
The Department for Environment, Food, and Rural Affairs (Defra) and the Department for International Trade (DIT) have asked AIC if any Member businesses which trade, or wish to trade, with Israel could feedback on the UK's current trading relationship and aspects which should be improved or amended.
Defra and DIT will use this insight as part of a wider public consultation to inform the Government's approach on starting negotiations on a free trade agreement (FTA) with Israel in the future.
Specifically, Defra and DIT want to know:
- what businesses think about the UK's current trading arrangements with Israel
- where government could make changes or improvements
- what challenges or constraints businesses face when attempting to trade or invest in Israel
How to respond
To express an interest in sharing their views with government, Members should contact AIC's Head of Policy Ed Barker at [email protected].
Engaging with government will help ensure agri-supply businesses are taken into consideration during the UK’s negotiation process.
Please note that any information provided will be held in strict confidence, and no company details will be provided to Defra and DIT without your permission.
