Members of Pulses UK have joined the UK's leading agri-supply trade association, following the completion of a transfer agreement with the Agricultural Industries Confederation (AIC).

Businesses in the pulse sector will now benefit from stronger, united representation as part of AIC. The transfer follows a vote in March which saw Pulses UK Members back proposals for their trade body to join AIC, a proposal accepted by the AIC Board at their meeting in the spring.

Work to integrate Pulses UK Members progressed through the summer and a transfer agreement between the two organisations was completed on 2 December 2024.

AIC Chief Executive Robert Sheasby said: "On behalf of the team at AIC, I welcome Pulses UK Members to our trade association.

"Their business interests will now be represented across three major sectors of AIC – Animal Feed, Combinable Crops, and Seed - with representatives already appointed to each of these Sector Committees.

"I look forward to seeing the additional value that this will bring for all in the agri-supply industry, as we work in support of modern, sustainable, commercial agriculture."
